First Day on the New Playground

"Praise the LordOh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,

for his steadfast love endures forever!" Psalm 106:1 ESV

We are so thankful for our newly remodeled playground. On Wednesday we had our grand opening. Dr. Mays officiated, and Mrs. Price cut the balloons. Our Kindergarten and T1 students enjoyed our first recess on the new turf and equipment.

We prayed that our playground would be a place where skills are developed, friendships are forged, and the love of Christ is demonstrated.

It's Homecoming!
We started our day with pancakes in the hallway.

The next event...Homecoming Pep Rally!

Waiting for the Parade!

Animal Kingdom

A wide variety of wildlife showed up today and transformed our classroom into an Animal Kingdom.

Mrs. Bonaventure brought the Science Lab to our Animal Kingdom classroom. Students investigated the concepts of force and motion. They were challenged to design a method for moving a book across the floor--without touching the book itself. Our little inventors came up with creative ways to get the book to the finish line.

Students explored motion as the force of gravity pulled objects down a ramp. Would the cars roll farther on the carpet or on the floor?

Wind power moved these rolling objects across the floor.
