St. Patrick's Day

Here's a peek into our classroom on Friday as we celebrated St. Patrick's Day.  The students learned about St. Patrick, the missionary who brought Christianity to Ireland.  We had fun with Irish folklore: shamrocks, leprechauns and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Big friends came in the morning to help make graphs of the marshmallow treats in Lucky Charms cereal. I'm not sure, but I think the marshmallow pots of gold had the greatest number. We'll have to consult the graphs because we ate the evidence.
We made leprechaun hats for fun, then followed the rainbow colored clues to discover the pot of edible gold at the end of the rainbow.  (Who would have guessed that the rainbow ends at the baseball field?)
And, of course, when something exciting happens, we've got to write about it!
