Working Hard, Playing Hard, Partying Hard

While Santa's elves are hard at work in the North Pole, Mrs. Kemp's elves have been hard at work in the classroom.  They've been reading, writing, and solving math problems.

They've encountered the Grinch, and along with the Grinch they're learning what Christmas means.
The Assignment: Write a letter to the Grinch and give him reasons to celebrate Christmas.
Writing is still hard work for this crew, so we enlisted the aid of Big Buddies to help in getting ideas together and writing the first draft.

These little elves have been hard at work in the science lab, learning to do research about mammals.

We've come a long way in our reading skills. All of the class is participating in the Accelerated Reader program now.  It's hard work, but cupcakes and prizes help to sweeten the deal.

Here's another reward for all the hard work: The Early Childhood Division took some time off to go to a movie.
And we wore our Christmas socks because...well, why not?

Some socks even lit up.
