Growing in Wisdom

"So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12

Early Childhood participated in the Elementary Veteran's Day Chapel last week. We talked about showing honor, respect, and appreciation for the men and women who risk their lives to keep our country safe and to preserve our freedom.

In Science we're learning about Weather. Mrs. Bonaventure demonstrated what happens when cold and hot collide. The cold water (dyed blue) sank to the bottom of the tub, while the warm water (the red) rose to the top. In the same way wind and sometimes storms are created when cold air and warm air collide.

The class learned about different kinds of clouds. We've been observing the sky and noticing the different kinds of cloud cover.
Next, the students made their own anemometers to measure wind speed.

And just for fun----and possibly to learn a little about the calendar and about numbers---this groovy, far out group of hippies celebrated the Sixtieth Day of School with Sixties Day.

Moses, the author of Psalm 90, prayed:
"So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Ps. 90:12

We've been numbering our days in class and doing our best to make each one count. If wisdom is measured in days, the class is now sixty days wiser than when they entered T1. May they continue to grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.
