Joys of Spring

Microgreens are ready to eat.

Strawberries are in season.

It's almost Easter.

Our Easter Crafts help us remember how Jesus died and rose again.
We're learning new sight words.
When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn’t grow into a plant unless it dies first. 37 And what you put in the ground is not the plant that will grow, but only a bare seed of wheat or whatever you are planting. 38 Then God gives it the new body he wants it to have." I Corinthians 15:36 (NLT)

Spring is teeming with new life. It's fascinating to watch new plants bursting out of tiny seeds and stretching up towards the sky. It's amazing that such a tiny speck of a seed could become a strawberry plant or a watermelon vine or a tree. Observing this wonder of creation reminds us that we, too, can have new life in Christ. We too, can have eternal life in Christ, for as we celebrate Easter, we remember that Jesus has the power over life and death.

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.I Corinthians 15:3-5 NIV)

The Learning at Home Schedule

Someone has apparently been missing our daily calendar time.

Here's a future worship leader starting the day with praise. "Yes, Jesus love Me!"
A daily schedule helps us stay on track.

Getting to be an expert at grammar skills.

Rocking that capitalization practice!

Now it's math time.

And don't forget...on Mondays we have art.

Working on Bible Crafts
And here's the finished product!

Play doh was the art activity of choice at this house.

Now for some recreation!

Enjoying some sunshine...

....and the finer things in life.

Seeds Day 4

Check out these broccoli sprouts! It's only been 4 days, and look how they've grown!

We're learning that plants reproduce by making seeds. These seeds have begun to germinate. Their roots are going down into the soil, where they'll get water and nutrients. The stems are growing up out of the soil. These new little plants will soon grow leaves that will take in sunlight and carbon dioxide from the air and begin making their own food.

It's all part of God's plan for his world.

11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. Genesis 1:11

Crafting, Creating, Praising, and Praying

The mail carrier delivered packages containing Easter crafts for our boys and girls. They enjoyed learning about The Greatest Event Ever--Jesus's Resurrection!

We couldn't be together for Chapel on our favorite day--Thursday--but that didn't stop us from praising and praying!

The boys and girls are working diligently on their packets.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,  since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
