Day 4 Happy Friday!

Happy First Day of Spring, and Happy Friday!
Congratulations for a job well-done. It encourages me to see these boys and girls working, worshiping, and trying new things.

I love to see children pledging allegiance to the flag. In this time of uncertainty, it's important to remember we're "one nation under God." We need God's help, and we each need to do our part to make it through this crisis.

After the construction of the Solomon's temple in Jerusalem was complete, God spoke to Solomon.

12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him: “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice. 13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. II Chronicles 7:12-14

Though this promise was given to Israel, I believe points to a truth about God: he listens to the prayers of people who humble themselves and pray for their nation.

I'm praying tonight, as I know you are, and I'm greatly encouraged by these adaptable, resilient parents and kids. We're trusting God will get us through this.
